Resume Concurrent Positions - NEC
As you may noticed on my resume, it shows that I held concurrent positions/titles with NEC Electronics America, Inc. My official title was Business Planning Manager but that title did not reflect my responsibilities. I was primarily both a Sales Analyst Manager and a Sales Commission - Sales Compensation Manager. Added to this, I was a part time Financial Analyst/Reporting Developer for the Finance Group and the Distributor Point of Sales and Inventory System Manager. These positions complimented each other in various ways. While my last 6 months with NEC Electronics America Inc, as a Staff Accountant/Auditor, was performing Sarbanes Oxley (U.S. and Japan) auditing work, I was still managing or consulting all my previous functions at the same time. The commissions systems were the only day to day operations that were passed on to another person. I was responsible for most tasks from beginning to end. I used various analytic and reporting tools in my work and if a tool did not suffice, I would either develop or learn a new tool. Basically, I was a combination of Sales Administration and Finance person rolled into one. I went through four systems conversions at NEC. From three separate order entry/finance systems to a fully custom order entry/finance system to PeopleSoft to SAP with their various data warehousing conversions. Each of these conversions were done with my leadership representation from my roles in Corporate Planning, Sales Administration or Finance Groups.
